as a student in the art education prgram at csu san bernardino photography is an option to fulfill a requirement. I had always enjoyed being behind the camera rather than in front, but had never considered myself to be a photographer. my father was a professional photographer and met my mother while shooting her sisters wedding. my sister is also a photgrapher, and i was the ceramicist. when i was introduced to the art of black and white photography i fell in love with the process, the contrast, the product. since the birth of my daughter, i had my main subject, but through my class expanded my content and began to shoot abandoned and run down buildings that are in the process of being taken over by the natural world. living in riverside county makes it easy to find the disheveled buildings i am so eager to capture...
